New layout starring Erika Toda and Miura Haruma in the Japanese drama, Taisetsu na Koto wa Subete Kimi ga Oshiete Kureta. Status/Pick-Up page has been updated, please check your request status there.

Toda and Miura play two teachers, Natsumi Uemura and Shuji Kashiwagi, at the same high school who are set to get married in half a year. However, the night before the school year's opening ceremony, Shuji becomes involved with the young Hikari Saeki (played by Takei), without realizing that she will be a student in his class starting the next day. As Shuji struggles to help Hikari deal with the mental complex she is suffering from, he is also torn inside by his betrayal of Natsumi. While the title reflects the story, it's a bit too long and sounds a bit awkward.

Plot (27/30)
Two thumbs up for originality. Your story is full of suspense with a good solid plot; revealing back stories bit by bit really keeps the reader interested. However towards the later part, the story becomes a bit cliche with the 'bad girl good guy' scenes. I admit they are very cute, but it is a bit of a cliche. Also, some readers who haven't watched IRIS (like me) might be a bot confused with the characters and I think you should explain the setting more for their benefit. Overall though, good job, your story has me wanting to watch IRIS (I was very upset when Vick died though). I liked how you allowed her to kill Bae Suek instead of sparing him. I was like 'YES! IN YOUR FACE!'

Characterization (25/25)
Well done! It's good that you use different POVs to show their thoughts/emotions and use ALL your characters to move the plot foward. You don't forget the minor characters and instead use them to support the major ones. I love Miyong's interactions with those from NSS. I especially love Vick & Miyong's smirk!

Good pace. You manage to keep the suspense going while not neglecting the storyline. It was a bit slow towards the last part though, but then I guess you used that to develop the relationship between Haejin and Miyong.

It’s a bit two common, a bit too cliché, perhaps make the title more appealing, more eye-catching next time.

Plot (24/30)
I can’t really comment much on this since the story’s not complete, but so far it looks good. It’s simple and cute, I love how the boys are looking up Filipino cuisine and mispronouncing their names but still drooling over them. Do work on your descriptions more though so that it’ll help each chapter into perspective.

Characterization (20/25)
I don’t know what you want me to think about the characters. I get your attempt at trying to slowly reveal their past and character, but it doesn’t seem to be working, first off, the mood and timing is off, second of all, one you try to reveal the characters too quickly. For example, at the beginning, we see her as a this working, independent, serious woman, and then all of a sudden we see her in a whole different context as a young silly/cheerful teenager. I guess it can make people wonder what happened, but I just find it to abrupt.
Also, I don’t quite understand Xyrene’s and Angeli’s relationship. Angeli adores Xyrene and Xyrene really cares about Angeli, but I think you need to develop how they got to that point more. The only interaction between them that tries to explain their relationship is when they first met. While you need to work on your characterization, I think you have some cute ideas about relationships. I like the interaction between Xyrene and her dad, it was cute when he thought she liked her best friend’s boyfriend.

Structure (21/25)
A bit confusing to have it switch from one pov to another. I would suggest to stick to one pov or not change it too quickly. Also, you lost points for the sudden shift at the beginning, jumping from the present to the past without any indications, you totally lost me there.

Grammar/Spelling (9/15)
Watch your grammer. While it does not majority hinder your story, it still can confuse readers. For example:

Chapter 01:
“Can’t you look at your way?”
I asked acting like angry with what he did to the Hawaiian girl.
“Bumped at you?”

Chapter 02:
What if she had already leave?
it was this guy who got I think a Filipino look.

They can sound right but are grammatically incorrect.

Nice poster. While this is not really my type of story (I don’t get the deal with fan girls), your cliffhangers are really keeping me interested. I really want to find out what happens next, update!

It’s a unique title. Definitely interesting how it can be interpreted to mean her name, her dreams, and/or her life.

Plot (28/30)
Good plotline. Simple but with original twists. You know how to engage the readers. I was brimming with curiosity through many parts of your story (ex. Wooyoung having a GF, Jiyong’s connection to her, her having amnesia). And just when you think that things have calmed down a new sub-plot arises (ex. Vee’s kidnapping, them being forced to marry). I’m not sure how getting married will solve much though. Overall, it was a creative but comprehensible story. Good job.

Characterization (17/25)
Good solid characters. I love the interaction between Hana and Vee, and, Jaebeom and Joonhee, and how Jaebeum messes with Jiyong’s mind. Extra points with the names, it shows you really put some thought into Hana and Vee’s name.
Though light-hearted at first, it starts to intensify and you manage to convey their emotions well, even in single lines, such as ‘Rejection hurts.’ I could feel the depth of her sadness behind those words.
I also like how each character has different sides to them, for example, the playboy Jaebeom has a chivalrous side to him; the soft-hearted Vee has a vengeful side. As the story moves on, you still continue to reveal more and more about the characters (ex. Joonhee knowing a lot from first impressions) and that endears them to the reader.
Also, good use of POVs to express each individual. I really like how Jiyong is saying one thing but thinking another.
However you lost points on her brother’s sudden change of heart. It would have been nice to slowly develop her brother turning from a mean and abusive brother to a brotherly figure. Also, the ending was a bit abrupt, I didn't even realize she had such a huge impact on the girls she's just met, it would have better to have developed their relationship more.
Nonetheless, it’s good that you are able to build on both major and minor characters, on their thoughts and relationships but with so many characters it can get confusing as well so be careful.

Structure (19/25)
The pace at the beginning is a bit off, you started off with the present, with light-hearted feelings and cute interactions and then suddenly jump back to the past filled with sadness, I think you could have spaced them out more, built up at a better pace. I also think you have to be careful with how you put in your flashbacks as they can disrupt the flow of your story, such as at the beginning, with Ah and Vee, and with Hyora and Dongwoon. Don’t get me wrong, there were instances were you used it perfectly, like when it was revealed that she has amnesia, but for future reference, it would be good to consider if you really need the flashback.

Grammar/Spelling (13.5/15)
Minor spelling and grammatical error.

Bonus (4/5)
It was an easy and enjoyable read, although the poster/background is a bit distracting. My favourite character is Jaebeum. Really tragic about the ending though.

The title seems a bit simplistic, not that it's a bad thing, but it's too cliche.

Plot (22/30)
The atmosphere of your story was light-hearted but not too 'fluffy'. The plot is not quite original, but you certainly added your own mischievous touch to it. I especially like the part when she tries to hit on Joon, I found that unexpected and funny. However, it feels as if her relationship with Minho is going to fast, or did you do that on purpose? Other than that, you described the events in a way that the reader can picture it easily and enjoy it.

Characterization (25/25)
The strength of your writing lies in the fact that you actually took the time to build up each character and their experiences and encounters with one another. You portrayed their thoughts, embaressment, interactions extremely well.

Structure (20/25)
It was evenly paced, neither too fast nor too slow. However there seems to be confusion in they way you structure your sentences, especially in your use of 'you'. For example, in chapter 02 you wrote, 'Your speed your was so incredible that you couldn't even tell it was even you.' That's not the only case you repeat 'you', at other times you use the wronggrammer for it. I have to applaud you though on your consistency in your dialogue structures. In many cases, writers tend to mess up the stucture of dialogues, but despite having a lot of dialogue in your story, you've remain constant.

Grammar/Spelling (7/15)
While portraying characters are your strength, grammer/spelling is your weakness. I don't know if it's because you type too dast, but you make a lot of mistakes in capitalization, missing letters in words, and simply mispelled words. You also have to be care ful with your tenses and putting your thoughts into words. For example:
'This laugh was always made you feel better any time something bad happened' (Chapter 02)
'Your heart struck a beat, that he must of heard' (Chapter 03)
'So I was wondering...........want a bet' (Chapter 05) - 'want to bet' or 'wanna bet'

All in all it was cute and quirky, and fun to read.

Oguri Shun

Aya Ueto
A carefree girl whose only care is living in the now, but that all changes when she meets Nicholas Tse, a serious young man who puts honour and duty above all else.

Nicholas Tse
Nicholas Tse used to work in the same organization as Shu Qi. But when the same institution he believed in becomes corrupted by power he starts to question everything he’s ever worked for.

Park Yoochun

Title (3.5/5)
The title is certainly poetic to the ears but first of all I don’t think it really reflected the story. Secondly, at first glance I had no idea what your title meant, yes you explained it but I think a simple title would have been more effective, something comprehensible yet poetic.

Plot (20/30)
The way you presented the plot was unique and your desciptions was certainly vivid, however since it’s a one-shot, I can’t really comment on the plot much if there was any. To me, it was more a short scene from a movie. There wasn’t enough background on the characters or what has happened before. There was no beginning, no end, just a scene. If that was your aim, you did it well, but for a one-shot it was poorly done. Writing something directed is always difficult, but I believe you could have done a better job.

Characterization (15/25)
The characters were very intriguing. As the reader, I wanted to know who they were and their relationships with one another. Unfortunately, I feel unsatisfied with one you’ve given me. there were many open-ended questions as to what happened to them before and what happened to them in the end. Did they meet? What took place in their meeting? Though you tried to give voice and emotions to your characters, your ending left the readers hanging, leaving them with mixed feelings about the characters.

Structure (22/25)
Your writing style is very refreashing. You’ve taken a different angle on story writing and have allowed your sentence structure to flow in a timely manner.

Grammar/Spelling (15/15)
No worries about your grammer and spelling.

Bonus (3/5)
It was an interesting story but not enough for me to enjoy it.

New Layout, New Rules, New Art Angel

I have not always been a huge fan of Taiwanese 'idol' drama, yes they're adorable, cute, and light-hearted but most Taiwanese actors and actresses lack real acting skills. Recently however, I've noticed some of them have really matured in acting, and so I wanted to promote them here.

Title: Divided Attraction

Synopsis:
It is Cheng Lin's first year at the Shengde University. A quiet and timid girl, she doesn't like to talk to people much and indulges in books, specifically comic books, instead. In the same year is Show Luo, the heir to a a very wealthy family. Before coming to school, Show had an encounter with a hot-tempered girl and got into a very heated argument. On the first day of school, he meets Cheng Lin and accuses her of being the same girl. Poor Cheng Lin bewilderedly tries to deny it but Show refuses to believe her and begins to bully her. On the same day, while running away from Show, she falls down and hurts herself. She is then helped by Shengde's prince, Jiro Wang who had been a childhood friend of Cheng Lin and has a crush on her. Soon Show Luo meets the hot-tempered girl again and finds out her name is Rainie Yang. Meanwhile, he stops bullying Cheng Lin but still continues to look down on her. Despite that, as Cheng Lin begins to get glimpses of his true self, she finds herself falling for him. However, as Show and Rainie continue to butt heads with one another, Show starts to fall in love with her. Ren Mu Cheng and Ren Guang Xi are friends of all three and tries to help them with their personal lives, all the while enjoying their new found love for one another. Chaos and mishaps ensue in this comedic tale of love and friendships as it is revealed that the timid girl, Cheng Lin and the hot-tempered girl, Rainie Yang, is the same girl who suffers from split personalities!

Rainie Yang/Cheng Lin - She has definitely improved as an actor since 'Devil Beside You'. She is a beautiful actress who has learn how to tug at the more emotional parts of the human heart.

Show Luo - First time I saw him was in 'Hot Shot' and he has contined to impress me since then. Unlike, other 'idols', he actually has the basis of acting down pat.

Jiro Wang - I was most impressed by Jiro Wang's growth as an actor. When I saw him in 'Hana Kimi', he did not know how to act at all! And I couldn't help but think that he got the job because of his looks. (No offense Jiro fans!) However, seeing him in 'ToGetHer', albeit it being a boring drama, you could really see his improvement and confidence as an actor. I look forward to seeing him in more dramas.

Ady An (Ren Mu Cheng) & Vaness Wu (Ren Guang Xi) - They are both definitely veteran actor/actress. I have seen them before, but they went way beyond my expectations. Ady An especially since I'm so used to seeing her in very agressive roles. Love Ady X Vaness!

Hello everyone, I know I promised two layouts for Erika X Shota but after watching Autumn's Concerto, I really, really wanted to feature Ady An & Vaness Wu (Don't worry though, I'll do a Shoda layout next.) As I watched them I realised that they remind me of Jay Jin & J. Max from the manhua/manhwa, 100% Perfect Girl, so here it is, a Autumn's Concerto X 100% Perfect Girl layout!!

NEW RULES

I know lately that we haven't been up to date with requests but this summer we're planning to implement new rules to make Art angel more efficient. For the months of April and May, we will be finishing up whatever requests we still have pending and then in June, we will put into action our new rules.

For Trailer Requests:
Seeing that there are only two of us, we will be limiting the requests to 6/month during school days and 10/month during the summer (June, July, August)? We'll open requests on the first day of each month and close it after a week. We'll then finish the requests by the end of the month. (If this idea sounds familiar, I got it from Intrinsic)

For Review Requests:
There hasn't been many requests in this area which is probably because I took so long with the first two. But we'll give each reviewer up to 2 weeks to review a one-shot or short story (5 chapters max.) and up to a month to review a longer story.

For One-Shot Requests:
I know we still have a lot of pending requests but we'll try to finish it by June. Later on, we'll limit our work frame to a month.

Hello everyone, this is a little late, but Happy Valentine's to everyone. Do you guys remember the movie we promised you for the Holiday Season, well here it is now! Synopsis:
Two people meet and fall in love, however a dark secret threatens to break them apart.
At a young age, Erika`s parents were murdered leaving her an orphan. Despite the incident, Erika grew up to be an optimistic and loving girl. One day she comes across a mysterious looking man while in a hurry. That same day, she meets him again when he saves her from a stranger. Intrigued, she comes back to the same spot hoping to meet him again. However, the man avoids her and we see her waiting all day and all night. Finally, the man takes pity on her and approaches her. Erika happily introduces herself and inquires about him. The man whose name was Matsuda Shota tells her to forget about their meeting and leave him alone but Erika stubbornly tries to befriend him. As Shota tries to push her away, he finds himself thinking more and more about her. Eventually, Shota accepts Erika`s invitation and they begin hanging out together. However, Oguri Shun, Erika`s childhood friend, who is in love with her, is suspicious of Shota's character, and so he begins investigating him. Shun soon finds out that Shota is not an ordinary student but is the son of Tokyo`s most notorious yakuza boss. He confronts Shota, telling him to stay away from Erika. Shota who`s already fallen for Erika refuses. Having no other choice, Shun tries to warn Erika that Shota will end up hurting her. When Erika questions him about it, Shun simply leaves. Not long after, Erika receives photos of Shota as a gangster meeting with the mob boss. Upon further investigation, Erika finds out that Shota is the yakuza boss`son who is just got out of prison. To make matters worst, his father is none other than her parents` murderer.

Love (Oguri Shun) is Faith's and Hope's adopted brother. He has been in love with Hope from the first moment he saw her. Refusing to call her sister, he tries to push her away with hurtful words but that does not deter her from loving him as a brother. In an attempt to forget about his love, he starts dating his childhood friend, Inoue Mao, even knowing that his best friend, Matsumoto Jun, is also in love will her.

The bad news is that my computer has been infected with a virus and has been down for two weeks and counting already. At the same time, the Christmas promo may have to be postphoned due to the lack of time so instead of a Christmas promo, it'll be a New Years' promo. Hi guys, just wanna share some upcoming dramas with you guys. 'Autumn's Concerto stars Ady An and Vanness Wu. Although the storyline sounds cliche, but seeing the preview, Ady and Vanness seem to make a really good couple. Not to mention that both are really good actors too! 'You're Beautiful' stars Jang Geun-suk (Hong Gil Dong) and Park Shin Hye (Stairway To Heaven). Once again, the storyline doesn't sound too good, but I'm excited to see it because of cast!

The title related to the story on a certain level, but it didn’t entirely suit it. The title talks about love, but I didn’t really see that in the story. The story spoke more about regrets.

Plot (20/30)
A story about brotherly love, of regrets, and of life. This is a story you don’t often see on winglin, and is fitting as a one-shot. You have good strong descriptions, and I especially like how you started by foreshadowing the tragedy to come. This definitely builds up the sad atmosphere of your story and gives a good visualization to your readers. However being a one-shot, it leaves little room to clearly define the plot. It seems to me that the story basically revolves around Donghae’s bitterness and feelings of self-pity. Nonetheless, the plot is easy to understand and evokes emotions from the reader.

Characterization (20/25)
You have definitely voiced the emotions and thoughts of Donghae thoroughly. One would certainly sympathize with his anguish and lost. It would have been nice to see more interactions between Donghae and his brother though. That way the feelings of lost would have been more emphasized. On the other hand, Donghae’s interactions with his father served to strengthen Donghae’s emotions. All in all, your portrayal of characters is good but I would recommend allowing more interactions between the different characters.

Structure (20/25)
I really liked the questions you presented in the beginning. It not only gets the readers thinking but also reinforces your emotions behind each question. I would suggest that you avoid making assuming questions as in the beginning as you may not necessarily get the answer you want. As far as the flow goes, it was at a pretty reasonable pace, but the sudden changes in setting threw me of a bit, making the story a bit choppy. It would've been nice if you just stuck to one style. I thought using the dates were good, maybe you could’ve done it in a dairy format? Just my suggestion. The ending quote was really good, but I’m not too sure about the questions, the quote could’ve probably worked better.

Grammar/Spelling (14/15)
Overall, understandable, minor mistakes here and there but nothing that hinders the readers.

Bonus (4/5) – I’m not really a fan of this genre, but I really liked your poster. It really reflected the atmosphere of the story.

I looove your title. Two thumbs up for originality.

Plot (28/30)
Though it got off to a weak start, the story developed really well. It’s usually hard to find a decent plot in a one-shot or short story, but telling the story from two different points of view gave it the twists a mystery plot needs. The first chapter was a bit confusing though but after reading the second chapter, things started to make sense. Your ending is especially good; it tied up all the loose end and at the same time left a deep impression on the reader. I know I got chills when I was reading it.

Characters (25/25)
Telling it from two different points of view definitely nailed it. It allowed you to express each character emotions and personality fully. At the same time, it did not hinder the interactions between the two characters and even gave life to minor characters.

Structure (25/25)
It was neither too fast nor too slow. I said it before and I’ll say it again, writing it from two different perspective was a really nice touch. The difficulty with writing from two angles on the same view is that things overlap and the repetition can bore the readers, but you pulled it off and even managed to express the emotions of each character more intensely.

Grammar/Spelling (14/15)
Deducted a point for minor mistakes.

Bonus (4/5) – Although I don’t like tragic endings, I can’t deny how good your writing is. It gave me goosebumps as I absorbed the characters emotions and personality. And your poster was a good touch; it gave just the right vibe for the story.

Rules for Requesting

UPDATED ON WEDNESDAY, APRIL 21, 2010

If you do not follow the rules, I reserve the right to reject your request. Please request one thing from each category at a time.

Trailers:
Seeing that there are only two of us, we will be limiting the requests to 6/month during school days and 10/month during the summer (June, July, August)? We'll open requests on the first day of each month and close it after a week. We'll then finish the requests by the end of the month. (If this idea sounds familiar, I got it from Intrinsic)

1.Taking Japanese, Korean, Chinese, Taiwanese, Thai, and Filipino fanfiction only.
2.Credit us!
3.No rated/yaoi stuff.
4.You must have at least the forwards posted.
5.If you are requesting, make sure you have permission to do so.
6.No Vietnamese dramas. (No offense to anyone but I’m not familiar with them.)
7.If you provide your own music/clips, I might or might not use it.
8.It usually takes me at least a week to make trailers, so please be patient.
9.Tag/email/comment on youtube once you've received your video.
10. Tell me if you want to make changes within a week.
11. We will NOT be emailing anymore for pick-ups, just check the status page if yours is done then pick it up on youtube.

*Remeber the more you describe, the better your trailer will be.

Reviews:
There hasn't been many requests in this area which is probably because I took so long with the first two. But we'll give each reviewer up to 2 weeks to review a one-shot or short story (5 chapters max.) and up to a month to review a longer story.

1.Taking fanfic, t.v. series/drama, movie, music, book, and manga reviews.
2.Credit me!
3.No rated/yaoi stuff.
4.If you are requesting a review for an Asian drama, please note that I do not take reviews of Vietnamese dramas.
5.If you are requesting a review for a fanfic, make sure you have permission to do so.
6.If you’ve receive a review for a fanfic, please keep it up for at least 2 weeks.
7.Tag once you've receive it.

One-shots:
I know we still have a lot of pending requests but we'll try to finish it by June. Later on, we'll limit our work frame to a month.

1.One-shots will be posted both on winglin only, if you want it posted somewhere else, you have to specify where.

3.Comment once the story has been posted.
